Museum of the wine

The Museum of the Wine is a museum located in the province of Burgos, Castile and León, Spain. It is dedicated to wine and the culture of wine. The museum was inaugurated in 2003 by the then president of the Castile and León autonomous government, Juan Vicente Herrera. The Museum of the Wine is the only museum in Spain that is dedicated exclusively to wine.

The museum has a collection of more than 1,500 pieces, including objects related to wine production, such as wine presses, barrels, and carafes. The museum also has a collection of paintings and sculptures related to wine, including works by Francisco de Goya, Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, and Antonio López García. The museum also has a library with more than 1,000 books about wine.

The Museum of the Wine is open from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Admission is free.
